I don't give review's, but I didn't want people to read the other negative review and think it was true. I purchased 4 strip's and they were tender, juicy, perfect. The best steak, try them....
I purchased a n.y. strip steak package over the week-end and it was so good. The meat was very tasty and tender.
I was very surprised at the average quality of the new York strip steaks we purchased over the weekend for a family gathering. These were purchased at two different Wal-Mart stores on Saturday. I purchased a total of 9 (three to a package) NY strip steaks, each about 3/4" thick. I eat my steaks medium rare to rare. It was cooked on a gas grill after sitting at room temp for about an hour with oil salt and pepper on them. My steak was tough, plain and simple, especially for a medium rare steak. You will not get these steaks at the prices walmart sells them for anywhere else - Lowe's foods was double and food lion was about 1/3 higher as well - but even so, after spending $50 on steaks and researching the cost and driving all over looking for a great deal to feed my extended family, we were pretty disappointed. I would recommend getting something a step down, save a few dollars and that way you are not spending so much $$ on so much meat that might not be as good as what you would expect..
Your steaks are below for toughness , Ask anyone of you CEO's to cook one of your New York strip , Then go to a great steak place and you will know .. Its so tough , I have bought a lot of New York strip from you guys and am writing this review to help others . I did not know how good this cut of meat was until today when we got it else where .
The steak was very tough. It tasted horrible. For just a couple dollars less a pound then the local grocer. It's not worth it.
Perhaps the WORST meat I have ever cooked (& tried to eat) I am amazed that the WM commercials brag on its quality. Its incredibly tough and gamey. I tried (2) grilling & (frozen - thawed) then marinated the other 2 overnight - YUCK ! !! I will not even give this to my dog! I hope my refund is satisfactory
