first off just to put any minds at ease the "digital break-up" was not caused by the camera man it was the live feed from the cable or sat. provider if something like that was caused by the camera man they would switch to another angle for the DVD release....and its not legal to record PPV broadcast... anyway now that that is put to rest the PPV was pretty good for wwe product, plenty of gimmick matches to fill your cup and enough great spots to make you say "OH MY GAWD!!!" a few times, over all good PPV if you buy WWE PPV on DVD this one would be one to look at
I ordered this event on PPV in June when it first aired on television, and made a copy to a VCR tape. During the event there was some Digital break up in two areas of the event. The first one was during Jeff Hardy's entrance when he was walking down the ramp to enter the ring to begin his match. The second Digital break up occurred during the Triple H and Randy Orton's last man standing match. I don't know what caused the Digital break up of the images, and I really don't know if the event was live as it was supposed to have been. The Digital break up is very brief less than a second or close to one second, and the only way I can edit out the Digital break up is to have the VCR tape recorded onto a Digital format using a DVD recorder. But I don't have a DVD recorder, and it would cost me more to have it removed than to just replace the VCR tape and purchase a DVD copy of the event, but I still don't know if the Digital break up transferred to the DVD recordings. I am not a videographer, but I do know how to edit out the Digital break up if I had a DVD recorder. It is a rather simple process that anyone can do in their own home, and or apartment. But I'm not going to go into detail here. This review is mainly to let you know that there may be some Digital image break ups in the DVD, but you won't know this until you open it, and watch the event. If there is any imaging break ups you may be able to return it for another copy, but still there is no guarantee that there will be no image break ups on the exchanged DVD. But you might get lucky and get one that is perfectly okay, but it's not worth the risk for me to buy a DVD copy of One Night Stand. I can live with the brief fall out on the tape. It happens very quickly, and I believe it was due to an error that the cameraman made while he was recording the event. But at any rate they have the equipment to edit out any image break ups that they might come across. They mass produce the DVDs by the millions, and one does not know if one is going to get a clean copy or not. Based on my own experiences with the WWE I do not recommend WWE One Night Stand 2008.
