I've wanted to try the chalk based paint ever since I saw it on a crafting show. It's so easy to use, no prep. I love the matte finish, and you can use it on almost anything. I did a little test with some sponge painting on a flower pot for the garden. I really like it, and clean up is easy too.
This paint is shiny when wet, but dries with the matte sheen you'd expect from chalk paint. The color is a soft blue-gray, perfect to balance out brighter colors or patterns. I'd even call it a neutral as it pairs well with most colors. The bottle recommends two coats, and if you're painting a surface that might have pits and grooves in it, like a rock, I'd definitely recommend the two coats. It'll help smooth out the surface. My picture shows what it looks like with just one coat. The paint applies easily, dries quickly, and cleans up easily. Would recommend!
I used this to paint a bird house my granddaughter made for me and it covered the raw wood beautifully. It went on smoothly and looked great with the first coat but it recommends at least 2 coats of paint so that's what I did and it look better. I liked the way the paint went on, nice and evenly, and felt like it had a good amount of velocity. It is easy clean up too, soap and water is all that is needed, couldn't be easier than that. I would buy more colors of this paint as needed....it is an excellent paint. If you are looking to paint something around the house, why not give these a try? I think you may be pleasantly surprised!
This Waverly Inspirations Acryllic Chalk Paint in the shade or color sandstone is perfect for any of art or crafts that either need a bit of spring look or need that subtle look. This goes on with no prep and smooth leaving an ultra matte finish on whatever project your using it on.
I make door hangers and signs and this paint is my number one go-to for chalk paint finishes. It is so easy to distress or have a finished surface with 2 coats of paint. The colors hold up when placed in direct sunlight. The cleanup of my brushes is quick and easy with warm water and fish soap. The colors Waverly brand offers are perfect for a variety of decors.
I love Waverly paint, its perfect for my crafts.

I chose this color for the inside( L.R.) side of the front door. I wanted light and airy to replace the rather ugly paint that has been there forever. This is 2 coats and goes on with any brush. I am using a bristle brush. I actually got this for something else, but I like the color here. No prep except wiping with damp cloth to get dust, grime and fingerprints off. Waverly is a very dependable paint for many projects. Furniture, crafts and even your front door.
I tried the pink cloud color on a raw wood piece. It goes on nicely but the paint is a little lumpy and it has an odor. I've used other Waverly paint colors, even light colors that covered raw wood with one coat, but this pink cloud needed 3 coats to look good on raw wood. I liked the color once all 3 coats had dried, it had covered everything and looked great! I'm not sure if 3 coats would be needed if one was covering a piece that had primer on it.
Good for the price, not great. You need several coats to get a good coverage. Pretty color though!
