I like this iron so far. It works well. The only complaint I have is that the water level is hard to see because the plastic is dark blue. That's certainly not a deal breaker, just an inconvenience. I would buy another one of these if I had to do it again.
This is a large iron to work with that holds a large amount of water. The steam is consistent leaving a smooth pressing out of the wrinkles. T-Fal has done a wonderful job with this product. One other good feature is the wide bottom of the iron so it does not wiggle and wobble if you bump the ironing board. Great product.
We have a larger-than-average family (7 children) and iron A LOT! I'm very pleased with this particular iron---it does the job efficiently and is the lower-cost range of irons we researched. Prior to purchasing this one, I had bought a more expensive iron which was much poorer quality for a heftier price tag. This iron heats farily quickly, does not leak (prior, more-expensive one did.....after just a few hours!), has a good weight to it (not too light, not too heavy), has effective, variable steam options (very important to me!), and has a fantastic, large stable base. I'm concerned about irons tipping over easily, and this one is the most stable one we've owned. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good quality, standard iron at a reasonable price.
Worked great and did everything it says. Steamed my bedroom curtains with it and it worked great. I over filled the first time I used it so be sure to check the fill line. I love this iron.
Iron is heavier than my last one, which makes ironing easier; has good steam output; does not indicate proper settings for silk, cotton, etc., but only has dots (the code for the dots is in the manual, however, which seems strange to me).
We had a new Hamilton-Beach, it was total junk. This iron heats fast, has nice balance and weight, holds a lot of water, does not leak and steams like a locomotive. I've only used it one week, so I cannot speak to long term durability but I'll be happy if I get only a year or two.
Nice iron. Seems to work well, wish it had a swivel cord on it like some irons. This Iron is quite large and covers alot of ground fast, cutting your ironing time down.
I had a very expensive Tfal iron which lasted 15 yrs. When it was broken I ended up ordering this brand again after looking at many others. It glides smoothly and steams very quickly. Very reasonable price for the value. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that the cord is very long and needs a cord guide (which I have on my ironing board. Otherwise the cord gets in the way. All in all I am pleased with this purchase.
Overall the iron is very good. The weight is good and evenly distributed when ironing. I would like to see an off button on the dial and more settings marked on the dial. I especially like the placement of the cord so that the iron is easy to use for left handed people. I plan to use distilled water to avoid mineral build up.
Not sure how this iron compars to others. But, I am satisfied. It has a good weight to it: not heavy, but substantial. It does good job ironing by husband's shirts and my linen pants. If you spray too heavy with starch, it will stain a bit. That never really happened before with my old iron. Also, am not crazy about the knob that is used to adjust temperature. Feels contraintuitive to me. But, overall, I am happy.
