So I already own a t-fal and my mom loved it so much because of the powerful steam it gives and the wonderful job it does. I couldnt find my model #1759 and so I settled for this one. (I LOVE my iron!!-especially since it has the automatic shut off. I'm surprised the indicator light hasnt stop blinking yet since its been about 2yrs athough I unplug it when I remember). Back to mom. I wanted her to have most if not all of the features of mine and so I decided on this model. Once she figured out how to get it working, she says she LOVES it and its everthing she wanted in an iron. Now although its a little more pricey that I'd have liked, its a good, quality iron that makes ironing a lot less stressful. Hope this helps and happy ironing :)
