Just like a weedeater

this mower is very good. It will get under trees that the weedeater can't get. I've had this mower for about 3 months. I have not had a problem with it yet. I love it. And it is easy to clean up after you use it.

THE LITTLE MOWER WITH BIG HEART

THIS MOWER DOES GREAT WITH MY YARD. IF YOU WANT TOP PERFORMANCE FROM THIS MOWER BUY THE E3 SPARKPLUG(EXTRA 5-8 DOLLARS). THE FACTORY SPARKPLUG THAT COMES WITH IT IS GARBAGE. ALSO BE SURE TO SOAK UP THE EXCESS OIL IN THE AIR FILTER(THIS WILL PROVIDE PEAK AIRFLOW). FOR SOME REASON THE AIR FILTER COMES FROM THE FACTORY COATED IN OIL. USE 5W30 SYNTHETIC OIL( THIS OIL WILL NOT BURN AWAY LIKE 2 CYCLE OIL WILL). MY MOWER STARTS UP ON THE FIRST PULL EVERYTIME. ALWAYS CHECK OIL LEVEL BEFORE YOU GET STARTED!!!!!! ENGINE WILL RUN ON OLD GAS TOO( DON'T RECOMMEND THOUGH, TRY TO USE FRESH GAS AND FILL THE TANK UP BEFORE EACH USE). DOING THESE KEY THINGS SHOULD PROVIDE YOU WITH MANY LAWN CUTS!!!!!!! FOR $125 YOU CAN'T PASS UP!!!!!!

best cheap mower to get

Absoutely one of the best cheap lawnmowers to get. at a low price the Briggs and stratton engine is absolutely one of the best to get on a mower. Unless you have a yard that is two foot deep of grass this is the mower you want. I have never had any trouble starting it. abolutely one of the best lawnmowers to get. I have a mowing service and its one of the best. I recomend this lawnmower to all.

I bought this today being broke and needing a cheap mower. My grass hadn't been mowed in 3 weeks and was nearly 3 ft tall took a little time but it never clogged, stalled, or failed to preform. The court of oil provided was just enough to fill the engine and half a gallon of gasoline later i was done. It did take an extra press of the primer to get gas into the carb for a crank but after that stop and started 2 other times on first pull as i moved to my side and back yard.

I bought this mower and it sat for two days in my trunk still in it's box. I then read the terrible reviews most people gave it. I thought about just taking it back to Walmart, but I took a chance. People said they've had problems starting it (?). This thing starts almost first pull everytime. It mows through virtually anything. For me, it's been excellent!

Great little trooper

I bought this same model in 2005 and it has been a work horse. My yard is not very large, but add about 6 other people's yards to mine and it had its work cut out for it. Never had any major problems, just minor ones...the primer bladder broke last year, so you had to have someone one prime while starting it (only the first few times afterward, then was fine) and the blades went out of balance. I never had to have the blades sharpened (and believe me this little trooper hit some major sticks and rocks in the beginning) and I left it out exposed to the elements all the time. Another issue is a user problem when the mower would bog down and die because of wet grass clumping and jamming the blades. I must say even though I am a major stickler about the maintenance of my vehicle and house, I never once changed the oil nor checked the levels on it. Now five years later it has finally died and I am seriously looking at getting another one. I loved my little mower and it will be missed.

i bought this mower today and it got the job done. i have a flat yard and i have bermuda grass growing. the mower was easy to put together (two wing nuts and add gas and oil). it started on the first pull and gave me everything that i was looking for in a basic low cost lawn mower. many people have the same problems starting up gas powered lawn equipment after being stored for fall winter and spring b/c you should never leave old gas in them. gas "gums" up in no time at all.....thus clogging up the carb, fuel line, and the bottom of the gas tank. bottom line is that if you are looking for a good mower that is low cost, get this one. or you can go and spend twice as much on a another one and waste your money.

"You get what you pay for", I was always told. And it is so true. Know what you are getting with this mower. It's an inexpensive mower - and you're going to probably have a problem or two with it. After using it less than a month, I had a hard time starting mine. It would run for about 5 seconds after priming it, then quit. Tried several things - it seemed like it was starving for fuel. Finally ran a Google on the engine and found a solution... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100507134706AALphh4 I tried the suggestions and BINGO! it started. It needs to create a vacuum to suck the gas. Oil the foam air filter and it helps create the vacuum. I have so little to cut to actually need an expensive push mower, this fits the bill. I would recommend to a friend with the above caution.

great when it works

this is a great little mower when it wants to work properly. it worked great the first couple times we used it. after that it took some patience to get it going. we found out that it didn't have enough pressure to move the fuel through the line when you firs tgo to start it so what we did was took off the air filter and i would put my foot on it to give enough pressure while i held the throttle back and pulled the cord. now its not going to start just by doing that but the pressure of having my foot on it helps bring the fuel up so it will start. my husband also suggested putting a teaspoon worth of fuel directly in there put the cap back on and it should start up either way. it does great on tall grass my husband and i took a month long vacation came back and our grass was very high and this mower tackled it no problem. so if you stick to the recommendations for maintenance and take care of it you should have a good little mower. i only gave it three stars since it can be a pain to get going but once it does it works like a dream.

I would agree with the other POOR ratings. I purchased a Weed Eater lawn mower, used it once, and after that it wouldn't start. So, I returned it to my local Wal-Mart in exchange for another one (I thought there was a chance it was just the model I purchased). Got the new one home and the same thing happened. Used it once and it wouldn't start again. The manufacter directs you to a search engine that allows you to find a local repair store that has the parts to fix the Weed Eater, BUT get this....they want to charge you to fix it (even though it's suppose to come with a 2 yr warranty)! What a piece of junk!!!! This is definitely a case of what you pay for is what you get!
