I'm so glad I replaced my old little dinky white can opener with this gorgeous stainless-look one. It is much taller, has a beautiful contemporary shape, complements my stainless steel appliances (is a beautiful addition to the counter top), and most importantly, works GREAT and is SO MUCH quieter than any electric can opener I've ever used! One thing I've noticed that is a HUGE improvement over all past can openers I've owned is that when the can is finished being opened, the opener smoothly stops and holds the can in place without a violet "jerk" that would sometimes slosh liquid over the can edges with those older openers. I'm so happy about that feature. The absolute only thing I could mention so far that could be improved upon is the plastic material the body of the can opener is made out of. I am used to all the older can openers having a really sturdy, hard plastic outer body. This can opener is not like that. The plastic of the outer body is rather thin and flexible-feeling, so it makes me wonder if it could easily crack at some point. Otherwise, 5 stars all the way.
I Love this Can opener! I am not the type of person who wants my kitchen electrics to run the kitchen for me like Jettsons, I Like them to be simple & effective. This can opener is AWESOME! It is very strong, I put a large can of peaches on it and when it finished opening it just stoped and held it there till I was ready to use it! It is great! Well worth the money and REALLY modern!
I use this everyday and everyday it does what it is supposed to do. I was so tired of dropped cans from my other opener. Great product, nice price.
This is the best can opener that I've had in years! It's a workhorse, strong and durable. I've had under-counter models the last several years, and had so much trouble with them. This time I went with a counter model and this one's the best! It is extremely quiet and opens cans so easily. I'm very happy I purchased this product.

works as advertised ,lift lever ,place can ,pull down lever. walk away and can stays in place for your return and does it quietly. I like it. oh yeah it takes up very little space on counter top.
It is quiet, as advertised, and easy to operate. I have only had it for a few weeks, so the durability aspect remains to be seen. I like the looks. It is tall enough for large cans, but it will tip with too much weight. I hope it lasts a long time, as I am tired of buying can openers and havin to throw them out, adding to the landfill problems!
For a very reasonable price, this Metallic tall can opener is impressive, hard working, quiet than other openers and solid! My father who is a perfectionist and the hardest person in the world to shop for, was very impressed as well. I do a lot of charity work and it helps a lot when opening large cans for food prep. Has professional durability with a consumer's thrifty price. I have never been disappointed with any West Bend products. That also weighed in on my choice for this Can Opener!
This can opener works very nicely. It has a very sharp blade. It fits nicely on the counter top and doesn't take up much room because it's tall and slender. The appearance is very professional. I haven't tried the knife sharpener yet, so I can't comment on that part of it. But, I'm very satisfied with the opener part of it.
I have been very happy with this product and have received comments from everyone who has seen it about how nice it looks. They have all asked me where I got it and how they can get one. Other than that, it is very quiet when running and the removable blades are great for cleaning. Great product, functional and beautiful.
