The Westcott Non-Slip Aluminum 12" Ruler is very nice! The cork backing keeps it from slipping while measuring. I like the rounded end of the ruler as well. This is a good quality metal ruler and should last a long time.
wHEN YOU NEED A SHORT MEASURING TOOL, THIS IS IT.

Much more sturdy then the cheap plastic crap ones. Save yourself %26 spend the same you would on the 3 plastic ones you'll wind up replacing anyways because they break! My kids have had the same one for several years now, %26 the measurement lines don't rub off either. Plus/Plus!
