Cream's third album was a double album, but not your typical double album. One of rock's early double album, what set this apart from other 2 disc albums was it's approach. Disc 1 is a studio album, while disc 2 is a live album. Later artists would use this model for their double albums, but Cream were the originators. The studio side is comprised mostly of short and catchy songs like those from 'Disraeli Gears'. Very song-oriented and "to the point". On the other disc you get 4 live tracks. These are lengthier songs that showcase the trio's more virtuosic side. You get the best of both worlds on 'Wheels Of Fire'.
