I purchased this machine to replace a more expensive one I had in the shop. I love that it connects to the computer and there are so many possibilities. It sews beautifully. I guess I'm surprised noone else has reviewed this product yet. This is a great machine for the money. Pleasantly pleased. Only one thing would make this machine perfect.... a 5X7 hoop!
So far I am loving the machine. Yes, there havebeen difficulties but you just have to work through them. Mostly, thread and bobbin issues, but they are manageable. When you look at what this machine can do - being able to be hooked directly to the compuetr and digitize files, it is a great value. I got it less than a week ago and I have personalized 6 fleece blankets and I had never embroidered before! So far... so good!
I like this product as you can download patterns from the internet and use them on the machine
I purchased the White 4400 and returned it the next week. Reviews I found on other sites (after I had already purchased the machine) varied from being thrilled with this machine to absolutely hating it. I'd say 90% hated it. I really wanted to be among the 10%. However, I experienced many of the problems the others complained of. The needle kept breaking. I continuously got a "thread break" error when no thread was broken and when I disabled the thread break alert, as the manual suggested, the machine jammed with thread. I only bought this machine to embroider names on burp cloths. I wasn't even trying to do all the fancy clipart and other images it was supposedly capable of. I successfully embroidered 8 total within that week and many of them were interrupted due to thread and needle breaks or "motor malfunction". The upside is that the machine was pretty user-friendly and the directions pretty clear. However, I had to use the customer service before I could even use it. I tried to embroider my first item, it said I could not do it because the code on the machine did not match the one on the software. They corrected the problem quickly but then I had to call back and get a code from them in order for it to work. It was a lot of wasted time just to get the 8 cloths done. When it worked, I was happy but that was about 1.5 hours out of that week. I'd pass on this machine if I were you. I got my money back and ordered the Singer Futura 150. I just got it and the manual is a little less user-friendly but they do offer a nice tutorial CD that is very clear. I was able to get it working soon after going through the manual and CD. Don't skip these steps if you are new to embroidery. They will help you prevent problems or correct them quickly.
I was so excited to buy this machine and start using it because of the software included, and the software was so easy to use...the problem is I've had the machine for 2DAYS and I've already had to take it apart to service it!! The top thread quit picking up the bobbin thread, because somehow the timing got thrown off. Then, once I got that fixed, it kept giving me the thread break error and quit sewing. THEN it told me the motor was stalled, and I wasn't even able to complete ONE DESIGN!!! The manual had NOTHING in it to help. I spent hours searching the 'net for instructions! I'm sending it back and getting a Singer or a Brother....they obviously know better about how to make a quality sewing machine. Kudos to Walmart for quick delivery, though!
BEWARE: not a sewing machine! Look at the photos, no foot pedal. The software was easy to use, but the machine itself is quite cumbersome. I am returning it and going back to my Brother machine.
This machine, does not produce quality embroidery, leaving large amounts of thread bound to the back of the item to be imbroidered. Also this is not a combo machine as the heading would have you beleive, it only produces embroidery. In one sewing project, I had 4 broken needles, as the machine, kept moving the embroidery hoop prior to the needle coming out of the material. I would not reccomend this machine to anyone.
This product is JUNK! It has not even stitched one complete LETTER!! Keeps giving Error messages. I have read the book, looked online, and called whitesewing and NO ONE gives any kind of technical support!! I am returning this machine TODAY! DON't waste your money.. Spend the $50 more and get the Brother Disney!
PLease read all reviews on this site as well as other BEFORE you buy this, and if you do end up buying it get ready to return it/ save your reciept. It is horrible with thread errors, made hole in the fabrics I was using from bunching errors. Get the Borther Diseny eddition, it is 50.00 more, but it actually works!
