I made the small side a refrigerator will hold 32 cans of beer the large size is a freezer. I have 12 quarter pound slices of salmon 15 quarter pound slices of tilapia a dozen beer brats a dozen hamburgers in individual packages and two buckets of ice cream in the freezer side, freezer set at 0 and fridge at 37, have it set to econo mode and the freezer drifts from 0 to 2 degrees, acceptable, I live on a sailboat and this is high efficiency on power, my 700 watt solar panels run this with lightning and TV and 2 fans running perfectly. this is the best freezer I have ever had running on my boat...
this is the second unit that I've purchased. love them!
I purchased the FM-62DZ in late 2014 and installed it in a cruising boat in the spring of 2015. It's built into a cabinet and is accessed via heavy duty stainless steel slides. The unit can run on AC while I'm docked and DC while underway or at anchor. It has performed flawlessly and I would highly recommend it. It's reasonably energy efficient, quiet and simple to maintain.
Wow, I was impressed with the size of that thing. I could barely fit it into my Kia. Of coarse it was packaged very well. It was in a box inside of another box. Once I got it unpackaged I was still impressed with the actual size. I plugged it in , and it worked well. I would say it took about a half hour to shut off. That is it got up to temperature pretty quickly. The Freezer at 0 degree F and the Fridge at 38 degree F. I am very happy with my purchase. I also liked the fact that I could pick it up at my local Walmart. It took about a week to get it shipped to walmart and then I was notified via email that I could come and pick it up. Very good service, Thank you !
Hi I just found the 12 volt section of my cord is broken and needs a replacement,, is it possible to order that cord
We bought this freezer for traveling to/from Indiana and Illinois and it worked flawlessly throughout the time we've had it (several years now). We have a SubZero home fridge/freezer and this little unit gets colder than our SubZero by about 3 degrees! It's very convenient to use and we've traveled over bumpy roads with it with no issues at all. I thoroughly recommend this freezer!
This freezer is huge. Tons of space. Freezes evenly. Closes securely. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.
First unit freezer would not go below 13f when it was set at 0 F. Their customer service was cumbersome but processed a return and sent a new unit. Could have and should have been quicker but the new unit tested well and i will use it on a trip shortly. New unit went down to 0F quickly and appeared to cycle maintaining that freezer temperature.
The Refrigerator was damaged before it was put into box. I returned it to store. They refunded the funds back to my credit card. I just reordered it. The unit appeared to be built like a tank. The packaging was excellent, no damage to box. If it was damaged after it was in box, the box would have been damaged. Note: it is heavy, 2 people are needed to pick it up. I will do another review after next one arrives. I think it will be excellent, but wait and see.
12 volt plug not working. Not keep temps it set to.
