I bought this for my entry way to increase capacity. Here's what I like. Ease of installation. It comes with sheet rock anchors so you don't have to worry about finding a stud to anchor it. I did find that because it's solid oak it's heavy (That's a good thing) But it helps to have a second person to assist you. Once in place it's sturdy and I'am quite sure it will do it's job very well. Here's what I really liked. The CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I ordered the wrong stain (white oak instead of medium) I went on line and clicked the ""Exchange/return"" tab. Then packaged up the original and took it to the UPS store. I had the new and correct one literally overnight along with a email from their customer service rep.I don't think I have ever had a more painless and hassle free exchange of a product.
I purchased two of these in the dark cherry with nickel hooks to use in our mudroom, along with the Eliot 3 Drawer Storage Bench. They really make the room look complete. Our mudroom is rather large and all we had in there were a couple of rugs and stick on hooks. Now our room looks like a place you want to take a minute and rest to remove your shoes and hang your jacket.
Really works great for winter coat and hats,gloves.
We are very happy with this purchase. It is a solid well made shelf. It is exactly what we wanted.
This coat rack is very heavy, and sturdy. I love it. Right on Walmart!
We purchased 2 of these coat racks for our church santuary. Everyone has commented on how nice looking they are and they have served our congregation well. We also have to be economical and our woodworkers said we couldn't purchase raw materials for the price of each rack. [...]
Works as we expected. I expected a little darker and more shinny finish to match a bench we purchased to go below the shelf. It still blends but finishes don't match.
Looks and works great in our entryway. But why are the mounting holes 14"" apart? This type of fixture needs to be secured to the studs, so I had to drill my own holes 16"" apart to do that. Other than that no-brainer improvement, I'm very pleased with the product.
This item looks great, fits my space perfectly, and allows us to hang/store several items rather than just a few. A great addition in a ""mud room"" area, but very good looking and sturdy and would look great elsewhere. Because of its weight, and intended use of hanging several jackets, I wanted to make sure it would hang securely, so drilled holes the width of my studs. I think it might pull out of a wall otherwise.
Set up should have been quick and easy esp since we have a power drill. But, the screws didn't work right and the mounting screws never flared out and stuck in the wall. My husband improvised and just used our own screws from home, but the rack is not as sturdy as it should be as a result. We really like the look and quality of the product though.
