For my purposes of providing light protection for occasionally toting my keyboard away from home, this fits the bill well. It is lightly padded but not so thickly that I would want to bang it against something, drop it, or sit something heavy on top of it while my keyboard is inside. When not in use, I fold it in half and store it in the closet.
