I don't consider myself as inept or handicapped, just a normal guy with normal abilities. When I purchased my tablet from Walmart the package included a Wrapsol screen protector which I proceeded to completly destroy while trying to apply it to my tablet. I was too embarrassed to ask for a replacement so I just ordered another one. This time I asked my wife for assistance and, with all the experience I had gleened from the first attempt, figured that we could handle the job... We both wore surgical gloves (she's an RN) as fingerprints had ruined the first attempt. With her holding up the opposite end I managed, after three attempts, to pretty well line up my end and she began to lower the sheet while I used the squeegee thing to remove the bubbles. I counted 37 small bubbles that avoided the squeegee but the instructions said that they would go away in 24 hours so, rather than trying to remove the film and start over as I did the first time, we decided to wait. Well, this is day 17 and the last two bubbles are almost gone! It really doesn't look too bad but I certainly would not wish this headache on anyone I like... maybe would recommend the product to someone I don't like! Anyway, gloves are a "must" and the 24 hours should be changed to 24 days! (we are still married but it was iffy for the first week after the installation!)
I tried this and many other similar products and in my experience it is far better to just be careful and protect the devices screen with caution instead of using one of these "films". I put this one on and after I had finished I realized I had put it on wrong side first (basically backwards) and nothing in the instructions prevented me from doing that. I ended up with a screen that the protective cover had it's sticky side up and protective side against the devices glass. this product is useless because of that and the remaining bubbles that wouldn't go away. These complaints are nothing new to me. I have tied other products (a mp3 / multi-player screen protector and a laptop screen protector for example) with the same unacceptable results. somehow a very kid gloves set of videos somehow distributed with these products needs to be made before these things are ever really useful in a any way. Like I said - I prefer not using these screen protectors because of these problems and I do it by being careful with my devices to prevent screen scratches in the first place. With the video I proposed above MAYBE these things will be effective one day. Messing up with these is too expensive (because you end up buying another one afterward to keep trying with it) and the bubbles never seem to go way. maybe with the videos one day these products will work.
