A "Must Have" in your kitchen pantry. Don't ever boil any type of Shell Fish without using this. Toss in the convenient bag and you have all the correct spices
i love this seasoning...i only took away a star because it was not boil in bag. i double checked the box it said boil in bag but it was in a plastic bag, so i just opened and dumped it in, but then during clean up even with a strainer the seeds stopped up my sink. QC be better.
this was ok but wasn't really for me. I enjoy putting my own seasoning. I would maybe buy it again just to have it around on my lazy days.
This seasoning is delicious, but I am here to seriously warn you. My family and I baked a lobster and crab boil with this stuff. It smells amazing and is amazing, but swriously had us barely able to stay in the kitchen. The key to this game is *ventilation* and you can't play without it. I did not ventilate. My 5-year-old and I started coughing, then sneezing, then laughing, then running to the living room. This boil is like mustard gas. It will destroy everything you love in the process of making great seafood. It is great though. But seriously, get some airflow.
I wasted a 3 lb bag of potatoes and 4 ears of fresh corn using this seasoning for a shrimp boil. Thank goodness the pot I used was too small to fit the 3 bags of shrimp as well. I tasted the potatoes and corn when I took them out and immediately threw it all out. the first ingredient is mustard seed, and thats all I could taste. It was a resounding "NO" from my family. Had to reorder my ingredients same night.
I've cooked seafood broils all my life. I thought this brand was really good compared to the other food products they make. However, the seasoning is absolutely disgusting and has a nasty, bitter after flavor. If you want a true seafood broil flavor DO NOT buy this. The coriander over powers everything and it ruined a huge family meal.
Warning- product has changed as of June 2023! I've been using this crab boil ~15 years and recently became smaller and therefore less spicy/flavourful.. not sure whether to buy 2 to use or search for a replacement?
I'm not sure why you ship things that are in stock, plus the price has increased so much! Not a happy Wal Mart shopper but I don't have a choice it seems!
This has been delivered to someone else's house, and I can't get ahold of Walmart by phone to let them know I've not received my items
