Please bring this back. It has the best flavor and nothing compares. Don't answer that the decision was hard. If nothing else, bring back seasonal in December for New Year's Day.
I love the product but I don't think I am going to pay 14.99 for another 7 oz box
Love the black eyed peas
I grew up in the Low Country of South Carolina and Hopping John was a favorite dish. I tried for years to duplicate my Mom's recipe without success. I tried Zatarain's Black eye peas and rice and it is heaven in a spoon. Absolutely as good as I have ever eaten and seasoned to perfection. It is the must have dish at New Years.
This was the only mix I would buy. So good! I always bought several boxes at a time, and when they started to be hard to find, I loaded up even more when I did find it. I had moved to a new state and thought they just didn't carry it here. I rationed the boxes I had left, not knowing you had discontinued the product, thinking I could stock up on the next trip back home. I have tried to duplicate the recipe to no avail. Marketers think we will be just as happy with a new product. However, I no longer eat store bought cookies since my fave was discontinued. When my soda was not produced during the "can shortage," I stopped drinking soda. Now I check the rice aisle for Hoppin' John just in case, and leave empty handed. Please consider the many pleas you have received for its return, understanding that most people who are disappointed will never reach out. If you can't put it in the stores, could you sell it by the case online?
Delicious and easy to prepare.
Why in the world would you discontinue THE BEST (& only one I buy) Zatarain's product? Nothing else compares!
