This lamp produces UVC wavelengths of 100 nm to 280 nm. At 185 nm, the UVC light produces ozone gas and fills the chamber to kill germs. It will travel inside the CPAP tubing by gas phase diffusion from higher concentration to lower concentration and replace the air inside. The UVC at 254 nm will break down the DNA and RNA of the germs and destroy them. Dual sterilization is one of the most effective disinfection methods.
