KitchenAid - 1.4 Cu. Ft. Built-In Trash Compactor - Custom Panel Ready

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great features that I will probably never use (odor fan). I only put dry trash in my compactor (garbage disposer) and NO glass, since we recycle. My last compactor (Jenn Aire made by Whirlpool) lasted me 40 years. I expect the same quality service from this Kitchenaid also made by Whirlpool.

We have had it a little over a month now and it works as expected. It is our second compactor. We have to pay for trash disposal by the bag in our town and we appreciate that we can go almost a month in one bag. We do not put any food scraps in it and recycle what we can.

I can't believe people who don't want a trash compactor. Could not live without one. I wanted one that would go with my other appliances which are Stainless steel and read all the reviews I could. This one lives up to the Kitchen Aid standard of quality. The compaction is really strong and while the operating pedal was hard to find at first it works just fine. I'm glad this is the one I purchased.

We wanted a compactor that was hands free because we are both cooks and are often in the kitchen together. This is our second Kitchen Aid compactor and we've found they are the best. We'll buy another when the time comes. It fit under our island beautifully and works like a charm.

We recently did a major kitchen update. While a trash compactor is no longer trendy we knew we really wanted one to replace the 80s vintage we had. This compactor has been perfect for our needs. The constant pressure feature really makes a big difference. The air sanitizer works well although a bit noisy. Overall a great product.
