Mainstays Barrett II Bed in a Bag, Black Soot/Dark Charcoal

My husband and I bought this bedding almost a year ago to go with our new queen sized bed. We didn't go by the example picture. We bought it in the store and granted, the colors are different from the picture, but I still love it! I just wanted a dark colored bedding set that my husband and I both would like. Walmart should think of getting a new pic. The sheets fit very well on our bed and are soft. The comforter is nice and warm and held up very well in our washer, which isn't a super capacity washer by the way. It would be nice if they sold matching drapes.

The colors are way way off from the photo shown! Its almost a dark green color, not what I was looking for. The material is very stiff and itchy even after being washed and has a strong smell almost like a permanent marker smell which wont go away. This is probably why this product is so cheap, I guess you get what you pay for.

I've read most of the reviews and a lot of people say this picture on line does appear to have a green tone. I purchased this at the store and it's definitely black, gray and a khaki tan. It's for a wedding gift and I think they will absolutely love it! Just the colors they wanted, - black, gray and tan. I also found some toss pillows that make this a complete set. ( the picture on line does appear to be navy and gray ) I'm thankful it wasn't.

When my husband picked out this set in the store, I thought, "Oh no. This is not pretty. I don't want to spend money on this cheap, ugly set." We needed the set because we had just gotten a king size bed, and had only one set of sheets. I reluctantly agreed because he didn't want something that looks feminine. Our matress is thin, but the sheets stay on very well. The sheets are VERY soft and durable. We have owned this set for two years and it has withstood several washings. It still looks brand new. Although it isn't the prettiest, it doesn't look tacky, and it is absolutely functional.

Was what I was looking for in Price! Very Beautiful Bedding for the Price!! But the Picture does look blue and white and it is actually more blueish greenish looking. I think another review stated that. Still looks GREAT but if you don't want bluish greenish colors then don't buy. Walmart needs a true pic!!
