My dad bought this one for me instead of a basic charger, unit did not work right out of the box, a big hastle considering the nearest wal mart is 35 miles away, anything you hooked it up to it would say bad battery, kind of ironic that I hooked it up to a new battery and it said the same thing, Wal mart did refund the money, but still time was lost, do not buy this charger!!!!!!!

I shopped around for weeks trying to decide whether to buy one of the large, wheeled chargers for a lot of money, then I ran across this one! The description was intriguing and the price was very reasonable. It came in the mail quickly and, after familiarizing myself with the minimal user interface, it works great!

Fast shipping. No problems yet. I have only had the chance to use it once. It was a lot faster than I was expecting. I am very happy with this charger.

One corner of the charger case [where the bottom part of the box meets the top part] is slightly ajar, it cannot be closed. Otherwise so far it worked OK. So I will wait and see. Unless the manufacturer would send a blemish-free brand new unit [not a refurbished one!] to the store and I would just walk in with my unit for an immediate exchange, as of now, just for this, I do not want to go through with the hassle associated with an exchange. Overall rating: Despite the above, I would still recommend this to a friend, because so far it functions as advertised and it seems to me as a solid electronic design. Suggested improvement: It would be a nice touch if at least the two sides of the positive alligator clip would be insulated to protect against accidental short circuits. The display has several items displayed but there is no reference to what they indicate in the directions. For examle, a bad battery will charge for awhile and then stop and the display will show "bad". The display is hard to read and there is nothing in the instructions that tells you what to look for in the displays. Also, if the battery is compltely bad, it apparently does nothing, and does not indicate if the battery is connected, bad, dead or anything else. These are minor issues but the charger works as well as I expected.
