JVC KTHDPK1 Transportable HD Radio Receiver with Car Kit OPEN BOX

Horrible is a understatement. I have fm frequency thank god I knew somebody that could install it for free because the dash of the car had to be removed. The instructions don't tell you that you have to put the radio on 90.6 I think, the WORST PART IS THE JUST LIKE A HD TV WITHOUT A CABLEBOX OR DISH COMPANY THE HD radio WHILE YOU DRIVING THE SIGNAL IS CONSTANTLY GOING AWAY YOU CAN'T LISTEN TO AN ENTIRE SONG BECAUSE IS EITHER SILENT OR GOES TO 90.6 AND INSTEAD OF MUSIC YOU ARE CONSTANTLY LISTENING TO THEIR NEWS. ALSO YOU CAN BARELY PICK UP THE HD STATIONS. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL THEY HAVE TO COME UP WITH BETTER FREQUENCY BEFORE SELLING ANYMORE OF THIS GARBAGE.

This JVC HD Radio tuner works great. Sensitivity is good when used with car's upright antenna. Installation does take a little skill and a few tools.

This is the best $30 bucks I have spent! It woke up the entire audio system of my '05 RAV4. The panel does get warm to the touch, I tone down the lighting and contrast settings to min. Shocked how good HD sounds on AM broadcasts and it was revelation on some music I listened on HD vs FM. Only negatives are the buttons are sometimes hard to touch.

The receiver was easy to install, and use. The things I don't like about hd radio, are that when you don't have a good signal, the radio completely cuts out. Also, if the station comes in without the hd signal, it flips between the hd, and the non-hd reception. Sometimes the hd and the non-hd are at different places in the song, which can get annoying.
