The construction of the bow and pulley system is cheep and difficult to assemble. The compressor shoots the missiles adequately. Thankfully the bow is not a functional component in the firing of the missiles, so that when it breaks, and it will, the missiles should still fire.
I got this for my grandson for his 4th birthday. He absolutely loved it. His father hunts deer with a bow and he wants to be just like Dad. It is very easy to use. He's already got a good aim with it and has set up a "deer" in the house to practice on. I would recommend this to anyone with a child who wants to bow hunt like Dad (or Mom as she has gone hunting, too).
this was a gift for a 12 year old and works well
Got it for my grandson for Christmas, he is really enjoying it. No one gets hurt, but he feels like he is a mighty little warrior.
