Honeywell QuietSet Oscillating Whole Room Tower Fan, HY-108, Black

We bought this based on reviews and were pretty disgusted with the fact that at the highest level it felt little more than a person standing with a small paper fan waving it at you from 10 feet away! Now to be fair the last few years we have used a HVF (High Velocity Fan) which can almost prevent you from having to get an air condition. We have an air conditioner and only pull it out when we are incapable of cooling down the house with a fan. This year after we needed to replace the HVF fan that lasted almost 5 years, we mistakenly believed this would cool the whole room...even the mosquitos seemed to fly against the low flow air movement. It was the biggest waste of money that we expended for the summer. Once we got the HVF it became so cold in our home despite 100 degree temps, we actually turned the fan off for several days. We still haven't brought out the air conditioner and we're halfway to July. The Honeywell has been unplugged and I'm sorry we already recycled the box. Someone's getting it and it's only been used 3 times. My suggestion....look for a HVF fan by another brand, won't say it, but it' has HVF in the name. My friends in Amarillo, TX also use it to help cool down during this excessive heat days (the HVF Fan)!

Quiet, multiple settings and speeds, oscolates, everything that I wanted and needed for a large living room.

Love the fan, but it is not meant for a large room. would work best in a bedroom. Even on its high power there is not a lot of air force. Other than that its a really good fan

Quiet. Sleek design. Thermometer display. I use several of these around my house to keep air circulating and, in winter, to help keep moisture from building on window sills.

This is my second Honeywell fan but first HY-108 model. I love all the features of the 8-speed HY108..
