ICONIA TAB A500 Picasso Tablet Computer

I bought this tablet so that I could give my legs a break from my 17in. laptop. Out of the box, the Acer has a sleek look and feel. I was impressed! It found and connected to my network immediately and after I did all of the basic set-up stuff, it was time to test this baby out! I have to admit that I almost had to open the instructions. I have an IPod touch and a HTC EVO which were simple to navigate, but this device was a bit more complicated...but I figured it out. Pros: 1) The device connected to the internet flawlessly - all the time. I had no problem shopping, web surfing, etc and there were no lags or freezes. Cons: 1) I recorded a simple video. The video playback is less than average and audio was so low, I could barely hear what the people in the video were saying on the highest volume output. 2) The camera is just o.k. - hard to believe that it's 5 mp. The camera has a zoom feature so I tried it out on auto focus mode. On mid to high zoom the picture quality was less than that of a disposable camera from the 90s. 3) GPS has two options - walking and driving. The GPS came on, I chose the driving option and nothing else happened after that- with a wifi connection. If you want this device only for the internet then buy it. I returned my Acer because the pricing is based on the specs and I am a firm believer that if a feature is offered in a product then it should work, regardless if I use it often or not.

I have been around computer for the last 25 years and although I don't know that much about the insides of one I can get around the software great. Never had been one to open a manual to learn how to use something. I just jump right in and "piddle" with it. That's what i have done with my new tablet. I am learning new things it can do every day! It is one great tablet. I read all the reviews on different brands and went to several websites and compared. This has been by far the best choice for me. At first I put it on lay-a-way to save for Christmas but two weeks later i got it out because i was really wanting to play with it. I have a computer at work, two at home but not in my living room area and i wanted something light to sit in my lap while I was watching TV so that I could check my email, facebook and play games. Then I started downloading apps and WOW!!!! This thing is great... I have not had a single problem with it and after reading some of the 1 star and 2 star comments i don't see where they were coming from...granted every company is going to put out a "lemon" every once in a while...they were just the unlucky ones to get the lemons. I use my tablet every single day of the week and it holds a charge very well. Now it's time to start buying accessories for it... I love my new tablet and glad I picked this one!!! P.S. I am totally hooked on the game Unblock Me....I can play it for hours!!!

THIS TABLET DOES EVERYTHING I NEED IT TO DO & MORE..IT IS VERY EASY TO USE. I USE IT EVERYDAY FOR MY ENJOYMENT AND NETFLIX WHILE IM ON THE GO. YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE THE SCREEN WHICH IS NOT AN AVAILABLE FEATURE WITH OTHER TABLETS. ITS WELL WORTH THE MONEY & I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT!!

This tablet is full featured and the 5 mp rear camera is awwwwsom , i'm really loving this tab which is an upgrade from my previous Viewsonic G tablet. The sound, video and angles, responsiveness and ports are great assets. I considered , the Toshiba Thrive, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 but none of them had as much built in accessories as this tab.

I love this Tablet , I also have a first generation IPad and this is much faster as well. Also supports Flash in Web Pages .. Lots of apps and daily FREE apps from Amazon.com ! Just ordered a SD card to add more storage. I have dozens of apps and still plenty of room left.
