This is the battery required for my camera. I have only had to replace it once over the years that I have had my camera. It's what I need and I have no complaints.
I don't know what those other reviews are talking about. My battery came and is the EXACT same battery as the one that came with my camera. It comes in the original Canon manufacturer packaging as well. I realized I should have more than one battery since I only had the one and lost my charger, so my camera was dead for a few weeks while I looked in vain for the charger. Now I'm super excited to have two batteries and a spare charger I bought from Amazon; hopefully I will find my original battery charger so then I'll have two of each.
