It is designed to dissolve safely in the small intestine, not in the stomach where aspirin upset and damage can occur. For temporary relief of minor aches and pains of arthritis and rheumatism or other therapy as recommended by your doctor. Consult your doctor about other uses for Ecotrin. Adults take 4 to 8 tablets every 4 hours, as needed, with water. Do not exceed 48 tablets in a 24 hour period unless directed by a doctor. Store at room temperature. Avoid excess heat and humidity.
