iRobot - Roomba 960 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum - Gray

Spent huge money on this thing and Im left to wonder if it was refurbished. I unboxed it this afternoon and after three hours its still not charged. Ive had to spend time on the phone with a rep from iRobot for trouble shooting. Unscrewed the battery compartment and removed the battery for a reboot. Still nothing. So disappointing.

I had such great results from this robot that I decided to upgrade to the i7 model. That was a big mistake. I have had nothing but problems with the i7 and the issues seem to get worse with each update they send. The robot is frequently lost and doesn't know where it is in the map or can't find its way to the room(s) I want cleaned. At least once a week I am having to delete and renter my scheduled cleanings since the i7 gives a map error and returns home without cleaning. Wish I had bever upgraded from the 900 series, a great, dependency machine.

I think this fits the bang for buck category pretty well. We had a cheaper Eufy who just bounces off everything and randomly goes around the room. Those are terrible esp if you have many obstacles. The 960 roomba when it came out was like $700. So for $3-350 , I would say its worth it. Been using it for a few Weeks only but I hear roomba parts are easy to get if she breaks. The app is cool and you get alerts when she gets stuck. Works well for pet hair. better at finding base station. Works in lawn mower row style which is far more effective, and seems to remember where its been and where it needs to go.

Overall great Vacuum. I purchased on sale, so thought a good value for the features. We just purchased last week and are amazed at what the 960 pulls up from the floor. I would like a better way to send to a specific room vs. the whole house instead of using the barrier provided in the box. I think an accessory called "Favorites" is being released shortly that will help on that front.

This works great. Not sure how we went without one for so long.
