Joovy Caboose Sit and Stand Tandem Stroller, Appletree

I bought the Baby Trend (deluxe model) first, not realizing it is only compatible with Baby Trend carseats. After my husband put it together we realized our mistake and I promptly returned it, as I didn't want to buy a new carseat. The first thing my husband said when we received the Joovy stroller was that it seemed like it was better quality. It seemed sturdier and maneuvered around the house better. After using the Joovy stroller several times for outings at the mall with my newborn and 3 year old, I have to say that it is everything you need for the price. Our carseat (Chicco Key Fit 30) fits snug and comfortably enough that I don't even feel it is necessary to mess with the strap over the top. It opens and closes easily (although it is not a 1 handed task) and it steers easily, even navigating through tight quarters like Baby Gap. It is heavy, but I expected that from a stroller that accommodates two children. It is also quite large, but it does fit in the back of our Ford Edge and again, I expected that from this kind of stroller. I considered the Ultralight version, but decided it wasn't worth $100 more for a 5 lb weight difference, a bigger umbrella and a $20 parent organizer.

I love this stroller for many reasons: - adapts to fit any brand of infant carrier - easy to assemble - easy, and safe, to collapse and reopen (locks when collapsed) - smoothly maneuvers on various terrain - front seat reclines and foot rest lifts up so your little one's legs don't dangle and their head doesn't flop forward if they are sleeping - tandem seat in back has 3-point harness and glides to change position to fit the child - both seats are solid and padded, instead of sling style. - collapses and fits easily into my trunk with room to spare (takes up less room in my Toyota Corolla than the single stroller we used with my older daughter that matched her infant carrier) The only con I have it that you have to buy an add-on for storage for you on the handle, but you can find many different options for relatively inexpensive. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, and have already. I did a lot of research and this more than met my expectations. Even if you buy it at full price it is one of the less expensive tandem strollers on the market, but more than worth the price. Plus all of the different color options available are great!

hard to get up curbs, smelled toxic for days after opening the package, seat doesn't recline enough for my 1 yr. old to sleep, not easy to carry around when folded, insufficient sun coverage utilitarian, well-priced, does the job, much easier to get through doorways than the side-by-side strollers, more storage space than I was expecting after reading other reviews, footrest for baby is nice feature, brakes work fine, easy to learn to use/assemble, responsive company (I reported my concern about off-gassing), good handlebar height for taller mom/dad.

I bought this stroller for a family vacation to a theme park (lots of walking). My 2 year old rode mostly in the front, and my 5 year old hopped on back when he was tired or we were in a hurry. It handled great and I was grateful to have something much smaller than the tandems most folks had. Also folded up nice and flat for easy transport.

I absolutely LOVE this stroller! I originally bought it for our weekend at the Coast Guard Festival. I knew my older son wouldn't be able to do all the walking we were doing and this stroller allowed him to sit (or stand) whenever he needed a break! It worked out perfect! We also are going to Disneyland for spring break. This stroller will be great because my older son will be able to use it when he needs to. I did NOT spend the extra money for the ultralight, the 4 lbs. wasn't worth an extra $100 to me. I did get the additional organizer that goes around the handles because the cup holders and zippered pocket are really needed. My only complaint is that this doesn't come with the stroller, instead it's an added cost. Overall though, awesome stroller for a great price!
