This is our second baby monitor by Motorola in a year. The first one was junk. Won't even stay charged for 5 mins and dies. Fried 2 chargers. This monitor I had good hope for. Camera is great. Nice big screen. The sound cuts in and out all the time and it keeps shutting off by its self. Haven't even had it for a week. My sister has the same monitor and we live in the same house and hers works fine.
App DOES NOT WORK. It comes with a paper saying oops as soon as you open the box. I tried everything. I contacted my WiFi company as well there is nothing on our end inhibiting it. I love the camera and crib set up, but the app is not useable at all. You can't connect it. At all. Only other complaint is the story feature- it's literally creepy. “Not now Bernard” story is about a child being eaten by a monster. What even? Very disappointed to pay $159 plus tax for it not to work on WiFi at all. Monitor screen is large. Some zoom options, not wide angle though heads up. Max out zoom and in zoom photos included. Temperatures are off by a lot I'd say as well. Not returning for the time being unless I decide to, because I've already returned 1 babysense with a screen that never even turned on (sent defective) and I'm due way too soon to mess with getting another at almost 39 weeks along. Hopefully they fix the app ASAP. Downloaded both apps to clarify, not upgraded app says not compatible and the new one refuses to connect at all.
Good quality camera, however the app needs major work. I have tried countless times to connect the app to the camera. The camera says set up is complete but when I open the app I always get an error message. I have tried over a dozen times with uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting, reseting. You name it. Nothing works. I will be definitely switching to a different company. The point of the camera was for me to be able to check on my baby from work. Without that, the whole monitor is useless to me. Very disappointed.
The quality of this product is poor especially for a company as old and reputable as Motorola. The home unit stopped working 3.5months after we bought it, just long enough for Walmart's 90day return policy to expire and force us to deal with the manufacture. After 4 weeks of back and forth emails and live chats with Motorola, we are still with a broken unit and unable to monitor our 8 week old child. We have been forced to buy another unit in order to keep our child safe, not a Motorola product. We will never give Motorola our business again for any product they put their name on, we've filed an official complaint against Motorola, and we truly feel let down by Motorola at such an important time in our child's life. Shame on you Motorola!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is amazing. Great picture and the carmea moves. You can also talk into it when its hooked to wifi from your phone! The motion range is great! And so very convienient! My husband can even see what's going on at work! I love this monitor!
