PediaCare Decongestant: Stuffy nose/nasal congestion, non-drowsy. Temporarily relieves nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever, or other upper respiratory allergies. Find the right dose on the chart below. If needed, repeat dose every 4 hours. Do not exceed 6 doses in 24 hours. Children 6 to under 12 years of age - 2 teaspoonfuls (10 ml). Children 2 to under 6 years of age (1 teaspoonful (5 ml)). Children under 2 years of age - consult a doctor. Each spoonful contains: sodium 14 mg. Protect from light. Store in outer carton until contents are used. Store at 20-25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F). Do not use in a child who is taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional condition, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your child's prescription drug contains MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before giving this product. Ask a doctor before use if the child has: Heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease, a sodium-restricted diet. When using this product do not exceed recommended dosage. Stop use and ask doctor if nervousness, dizziness, or sleeplessness occur. Symptoms do not improve within 7 days, or are accompanied by fever. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away.
