Philips Avent Natural with Natural Response Nipple, All In One Gift Set with Snuggle Giraffe, SCD839/01

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was awesome to receive the Philips Avent Natural All In One Gift Set With Snuggle Giraffe as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My daughter was already familiar with the snuggle soother animals which we use in her crib for sleep always with 2 different pacifiers so she has options. I love that you can use the Avent pacifiers connected to the giraffe's mouth but also connect a pacifier of a different brand to the hand. Best yet is the fact that the pacifiers do disconnect to make it easier to wash them. This gift set included 2 sizes of the Avent natural bottles (4oz and 9oz) with size 0 and 1 nipples. Because it's a starter set, the nipple sizes are the lowest. These nipple sizes are too low for my 9.5 month old, so I switched them out for other 4s and some 3s I had on hand. The included pacifiers are listed as being for 0-3 and 0-6 but she still uses the 0-3 type on her Avent Monkey soother that's been in her crib for months and I attached a 3-6 Avent Super Soothie to the giraffe along with another brand she likes on the hand. So all in all, most of the items were usable, and we can save the 0 and 1 nipples for a little sibling. The 4oz bottles are generally too small for a full feed but they are perfect for a snack size feed and I can do a smaller pumping session into them with the Avent hand pump I have or pour into them to store the milk I'm in using another pump. I was most nervous about the bottle warmer included in this set since we have an older model Avent warmer and after a while of using it have since switched to using just a metal cup of hot water to warm my bags of frozen milk because it took longer with that warmer and wasn't as accurate to get the milk to the right temp, but this newer model far exceeded my expectations. It was a lot easier to use, having better functionality and so I was able to heat any amount of milk up quickly to the right temperature! All in all this is an excellent gift set for someone with a new baby or babies, and even for those with older babies like us!

As a breastfeeding mom, trying to get my son to take a bottle has been hard, until we tried these bottles! It was so relieving having my husband fed him with no fuss. This gift set is seriously perfect for a baby shower it has everything a new parent needs for feeding, cleaning and soothing. Bottles, bottle warmer, sterilizing bags, bottle brush, sealing discs, pacifiers, and the cutest giraffe pacifier holder!! The bottle warmer is very easy to use, and heats up the bottle thoroughly AND fast!! I have never used sterilizing bags until I received this but how convenient it was to use, certainly my favorite part of this set. Unfortunately my son won't take either pacifier, but it was nice to try them both out. We love that you can detach the giraffe with the included pacifier for other pacifiers.. we will try others with the snuggle buddy! Overall this set is a must have, and I truly recommend it. I'm so thankful I was given the opportunity to test out this set from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I love that the giraffe pacifier holder is able to be used multiple ways but the pacifier it came with works great, baby loves it! It's so nice that you can take the pacifier off and wash it or exchange it out for another one if needed and then the giraffe could be thrown in the washing machine. The bottle warmer has many settings and I'm excited as baby grows to see all of the ways we're able to use it! So far it has worked really well and I am very impressed! The bottles have worked well for our newborn going between breastfeeding and bottle feeding as needed. The provided brush for the bottles is easy to use and does a good job. I have not used the steam bags yet but they are very durable and feel like a good quality compared to some I have used in the past. Overall this gift set would make a great all in one gift, I definitely recommend adding it to your registry!

It comes with a pacifier, a Snuggle Giraffe pacifier holder and the soothie to attach to it, a bottle brush, a bottle warmers, and 4 bottles with sealing discs. The brush - I like the curved design as it allows you to get the sides and bottom of the bottles cleaned. Bottles - You get two 4oz and two 8oz bottles. They are wide neck and the shape of the nipples mimic the shape of the breast which made it easy for my baby to switch between breast and bottle. Bottle Warmer - Super easy to use and heats thoroughly throughout with no hotspots. You can warm baby food and bottles but I only used it for it to warm bottles for milk. Snuggle holder - Its soft and comforting for baby. My older child used one like this as well and loved it. Sterilizer bags - Wow. I loved these. So perfect for when I want to save time and not use a pot on the stove or my sterilizer machine. I imagine they would be very convenient for travel as well. You get 5 bags but they are reusable as well (though I forget how many uses per bag). Overall - this is the perfect set to add to your registry or to gift a loved one for their new baby. as it has all of the essentials one might need to feed and comfort their sweet baby.

I would definitely consider giving it as a gift. While practical, I also appreciate the cute element with the snuggle buddy pacifier holder. I have another one from a different brand and I prefer the design of this one with the way it holds the pacifier. It's great you can use different kinds of pacifiers with it as well. My baby likes the soothie pacifier that came with it, and it's nice that it came with an additional pacifier that he may prefer more when he's older. I love that this set includes sterilizer bags. They were so easy to use and very helpful. I also greatly appreciate the bottle warmer. I mainly breastfeed but when I do need to use a bottle this warmer makes things go so much smoother and faster. It was fairly easy to figure out, though I do think the instructions could've been a little more helpful. I thought the actual baby bottles were great! My baby had no problem latching and drank easily and quietly, which isn't always the case while he's nursing. I was impressed with the design of the Natural Response Nipple and the flow was perfect. My baby had no issues with gas or other fussiness after feeding. I will definitely continue to use these bottles. It was nice that a bottle brush and sealing discs were included too. Those are things you don't always realize you need. Overall this was a well thought out gift set.
