Sun Joe 18-inch 5 Blade Manual Reel Mower with Grass Catcher, 9-Position

So far this reel/manual mower is exactly what I wanted. It's working out. - very easy to assemble - easy to use; sometimes I have to use a little muscle, but that's fine - basket on back catches a lot of the cuttings, not all, but a lot that we can use later Overall, couldn't be happier. Ps. I am in my fifties and mom in her seventies. We can both use this mower. We just do it in small batches.

In these days when staying at home is vital, I opted for this lawn mower. I love it, one of my friends wanted to borrow it and had me order her one. No gas, no hard to pull rope to start, I have M.S and not enough strength to start a regular mower. Electric ones were out of the question. So I am super pleased with it.

This little mower is awesome! Perfect for just about everything! I have over an acre now I do use a riding mower, but bought this for the fenced in "dog yard" and all the trim work around trees and plants etc. Different height setting allow for that perfect cut. Cuts evenly and easily. Easy to push and of course saves on gas and the bulkiness of a gas push mower. I do however have to say the so called "bag" on this could use a different design as you do tend to kick it and it does fall off a good bit so I just use it without the bag. Other than that I have no issues. With that being said I definitely recommend this mower! I actually prefer it over the gas powered push mower we still have.

It is lighter than a gas mower, but I couldn't get the wheels to turn to actually cut unless it was a perfectly level spot. My neighbors actually came out to ask if needed help, because it looked like I was working so hard, with no results. I feel if you live in a spot with a very tiny flat yard this is awesome, but if you have any unlevel surfaces this may not work well.

I recently downsized lawn and wanted a quality, well made reel mower to replace my heavy gas machine. While somewhat skeptical of the effectiveness of manual mowers ( based on past, unpleasant experiences), I was quickly convinced that I had made a good decision in purchasing the Sun Joe mower. Easy to put together, sturdy, and effective for my purposes, I now actually enjoy mowing my lawn whereas in the past it was simply a chore.
