If you want that extra peace of mind, this is the monitor to buy. I have a 1 month old and it works great. We didn't think it was going to pick up his movements being he is very small (and only weighed 5.9 at birth) but it does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is very easy to put in the crib. The only thing I would mention is that if you have a lot of wireless activity in your home, such as computers or cordless phones, the monitor that you keep by you will have a lot of feedback. We put ours in our bathroom and it actually amplified any sounds and worked better! Overall. I give this 2 enthusiastic thumbs up and highly recommend to that first time parent or if you just want something that has that extra safety for your baby while he/she sleeps.

I had my first child in June. Before becoming a new mom I went above and beyond doing my research on EVERYTHING! I started out looking for a nice monitor and when I stumbled upon the Angelcare Movement Sensor w/ Sound Monitor I was very intrigued. I was and still am scared to death of SIDS so finding something that could help reduce my worry seemed too good to be true. We've used this product since day one and I could not live without it. It is by far the best piece of baby equipment I own. I don't know how people sleep at night without one of these!! We have had a few false alarms but only when my little squirmer scoots down to the far end of her crib. It only reassures me that it works! I even take it with me when I travel. I learned that when using it with a pack n' play you have to put something hard under it in order for it to work properly. I would recommend this product to everyone! I will, without a doubt, be using this for all my children. SIDS can happen to any child, no matter how healthy, so it's definitely better to be safe than sorry.

This monitor has brought us peace of mind when our grand-daughter is sleeping at our house. We don't feel that we have to go in and check on her every 10 minutes, but can hear from a room away if she is crying.We know that she is safe and breathing when she is asleep. What a great product.

I would not think about sleeping a night without my infant on this product. I leave it on the chirp that sounds with every breath (but you can turn this off). I would've paid much more for this product and if something happens to this one I will purchase another the same day. This product is a MUST have for any worrisome mommys. My son was 6 weeks premature and I cannot express how much peace of mind this product has brought to me! He is now 8 months old and I still use this product.

The BebeSounds Angelcare Movement Sensor & Sound Monitor is such a god send. I am a natural born worrier. I sleep pretty good knowing that if the baby stopped breathing the alarm would sound. I tested it out as soon as I had the baby home and it really does work well. I sleep alot better knowing that my baby is breathing and that if for any reason he stopped there would be an alarm sounding off to prompt me to do something to save his life. Without this monitor I would probably be sleep deprived and cranky from watching the baby breath all night. That is exactly what I did in the hospital until I brought him home where his monitor is.
