In general, I am pleased. But your description is misleading in that it implies that I can control 2 sets of lights, etc. with 2 independent on/off buttons in app. The outdoor plug is just a waterproof smart switch with 2 outlets.
I bought this because I have other Wemo smart plugs. Once you set them up with the Wemo app (which is not intuitive nor always accurate), they work fine but Lord help you if they become disconnected. It is exceedingly difficult and frustrating to reconnect them. The app never seems to be able to find them. After several tries you can eventually reconnect them. However, with WiFi Smart Outdoor plug, if you don't have Apple's Home app it borders on impossible. After trying to connect without Apple Home app, (which it asked me to use in the setup process but I don't have and don't need), I was unsuccessful. So I called Belkin tech support. After a considerable length of time it was determined I needed to go through a procedure (which I won't bore you with) that required me to wait, literally, 15 minutes for the unit to reset so it would work. And it finally did. It worked for a few days until I had reason to unplug it. After, replugging I ran into the same problem I had previously where the Wemo app couldn't find it. I cried. Then I switched back to a non wifi connected unit that I had been using previously and it is working just fine right now, thank-you. Belkin really needs to work on vastly improving their app.
The description should be clearer that both outlets must be on the same schedule and cannot be controlled separately.
Almost exactly what I was looking for. I'm using this for my string lights in my backyard and wanted to be able to turn off and on from any device. Works great but for some reason the connection to HomeKit is intermittent yet it's always connected via the Wemo app. Not sure if this could be resolved with a firmware update.
Well shame on me. I have a number of WEMO devices in my house but for some reason the Mini smart plug stopped connecting to my EERO network after working for a year. So I took a chance and purchased two outdoor plugs but neither one will connect to the EERO. I even removed the 5GHz so it could only see the 2.4GHz but no connection. Then I restarted the EERO network with only the 2.4GHz running and no luck. I guess I'm done with WEMO now.
