I just love this mower. No cord to deal with and it mulches the lawn. I only use one-third of the battery to mow my lawn and only have to charge the battery after the third time. It is light weight and very easy to use. I have used the bag occasionally and it is very functional and easy to put on and take off. I don't like to store gasoline or deal with starting gasoline mowers and this mower is just what I needed. Thank you Walmart for selling it at a low price.
I have owned this mower for several years now. I also own a competitor's battery powered mower that claims to have a 56V battery, "The Most Powerful Lithium Ion Battery In The Industry". Well Let me tell you from first hand experience, the WORX Pacesetter with it's 36V Lithium Ion Battery CAN RUN CIRCLES around the other mower! I can mow my complete yard (front, back, side & alley) 1 1/2 times on one charge with the Pacesetter. My other mower poops out after just mowing my (big) backyard. Plus, the Worx Pacesetter is quieter and is self-propelled. After using this mower, I NEVER want to go back to a gas-powered mower. I gave away my gas can three years ago. Simply put, this is "THE" mower to own!!!! No gas, no oil, NO FUMES! My dogs used to eat grass when I mowed using a gas mower, now they smile (just kidding).
We enjoy this lawnmower. It is powerful and the charge on the battery lasts long enough to cut the grass. Getting away from gas is a plus. The downside is the cost of the battery which is almost half the cost of the mower and getting local support on this is impossible. The electrical connector on the end of the harness that plugs into the battery is broken but Worx does not provide this part. I like the mower but with poor support I can't recommend this to anyone.
I had the one that was not self propelled but I gave that to my son and bought this model for me. I have really steep grade on my front lawn and due to health issues it was just more of a workout than I needed. It works great and held a charge over the winter. I was able to mow my entire property on that left over charge. The only thing I would change would be to design some sort of a shield so you don't get grass bit flying back at you when you have the bagger on. I will probably rig something to see if it works. If Worx would like to talk to me about this shield idea I would be happy to expand on it.
I have had this lawn mower for about 3 years now and I was hoping it would be a good replacement for the old gas lawn mower. I am sad to report this Worx model will not replace a gas mower anytime soon! The model started out great then toward the end of the summer I started noticing diminishing returns on the battery. It was taking two batteries to cut the whole yard (My yard is not that big) and the mower starting having problem going through "thicker" grass. When I say thicker, its the grass my gas mower has no issues with when I use it. During the second year my battery charger starting having problem and I would have to be unplugged and re-plug in when charging the battery. Now I am on the third year with the mower. The charger is not working properly and I can not finish cutting the yard using 2 batteries and thicker grass cutting .... forget about it.. its not happening. I am to the point now where I am about it stop using the mower all together.
