The film is ventilated to allow the wound to breathe and to let the pad absorb any fluids. The pad can be cut or trimmed to fit any wound. 1. Cleanse: Gently clean in and around the area with warm water and mild soap, using Curad Sterile Gauze Pads or Sterile Cotton Balls. Apply gentle pressure over the wound to stop bleeding. If redness or swelling occurs, consult a physician. 2. Apply: Apply medication (if required) to a soft, absorbent Telfa Non-Stick Pad and cover the wound to protect it and absorb fluids. Telfa Non-Stick Pads with Adhesive Tabs and Curad Stretch Gauze are also excellent coverings. 3. Secure: Tape Telfa Non-stick pad firmly in place using Curad Wet-Proof Tape.
