The plastic is very flimsy and the reels needed to be assembled. They would not lock together! If I was doing it incorrectly I wouldn't know because there's no clear direction on how to snap the two sides of the reel together!

I am using one for my outside lights and one for my indoor lights. Storing them on the included reels will keep my lights from getting tangled and damaged. It will make decorating next year so much easier! I love that the containers are clear so I can see what is inside without having to open the container. I also love that the containers are stackable which makes storing them easier. This product is very well made and designed. I love that they help me keep my lights organized. They are the perfect solution for storing holiday lights. I highly recommend them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally decided that this year I wasn't going to deal with having to struggle with winding up my light strings so I got the Home Edit Light Box w/Hinged Lid in a 2pk. This will be a gamechanger for me! Each box holds 5 reels of lights & and each reel probably holds between 300-450 lights, depending on how well you wrap them around the reel. The boxes & reels are a thinner plastic. I would have liked them to be a little bit heavier duty/sturdier but I'm sure they will work fine for me. They are stackable but due to the thinner plastic, I would just make sure not to put anything too heavy on top of them. I'm almost too excited to take down my Christmas lights this year just so I can use these new boxes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very disappointed with this product. The hinges on it are very weak and the plastic is brittle. The reels are included and do work to wrap your lights or garland around to keep organized.
