I bought this with the shampoo and conditioner. The other products worked great but I found this left my type 4 hair dry and a bit crunchy. I used a little for a twist out and made sure not to over-apply. It still dried without any shine and feeling like I need to mist it with water. Thankfully I purchased at a BSS that I can return.

I have good definition with this gel but it makes my hair crunchy and pretty dry I find myself having to use a oil with it to combat the dryness it leaves me with

Great smell and shine but that's it. Really no definition. My twist-out was super frizzy. It's not cause I'm in Florida. Cause Ancient Egyptian, Braid Glaze and even Cheers Gelato hold up just fine in this humidity.

I really wanted to love this. I don't. In fact, it's the worse gel I've ever used. I'm glad it was a gift and I didn't lose money on this. What I did lose was time and chances at a bomb twist out/wash n go etc. You name it, I tried it hoping something about this product would work. It's just not worth the money or effort. Stick to any other of The Mane Choice gels and just skip this. Please, don't fall for the hype or the smell. I Stan for this brand but this product was just NOT IT!
