GoPro Smart Remote - ARMTE-002

Glad i got it. everything seems fine.

The good; functionality, the not so good; plastic screen instead of the typical glass screen on the GoPro itself leaves it vulnerable to scratches and dents When accidentally dropped or tucked away with Gear, also screen is slightly small and not very easy to read in sunny glared conditions. Hard to justify this purchase considering voice control on the camera itself, I will be returning this item, yet perhaps giving a future device a chance should the design be improved.

When taking stills, often pressing the shutter button on the remote will lead to the camera getting stuck taking bursts of shots, 30 at a time, continuously. If you cannot reach the camera (why would you have a remote if you could?) then it will continue until the battery is flat and you are left with thousands of garbage shots on the sd card....

Complete garbage. Never worked from day one!

I used a Smart Remote with my GoPro 4 and rarely had issues. Got a GoPro 6 and when videoing baseball games as a base umpire I have connectivity issues with the Smart Remote. I'm maybe 130 to 150 feet away from the camera and it loses connection. When I used a GoPro Black 4 rarely had same issue. So GoPro team wonder if it is more of an issue with the GoPro 5 and 6 Camera instead of the remote????
