I have used this beater probably 20 or 30 times. Today while making chocolate chip cookies, I suddenly started hearing a sound like glass or something in the bowl. I wasn't wearing any jewelry.. nothing that could have accidentally fallen into the batter...I didn't want to add in the chocolate chips until I knew nothing was in the batter, so I smashed through the batter 3 times transferring it from one bowl to another to make sure there were no foreign objects in my dough. I have over-handled my cookie dough and expect my cookies will now be TOUGH! It's a double batch... adding the chips and will see if they are ruined.. ANGRY
