Worst dishwasher we ever bought. Very poor design for placing dishes and glasses

PROS: Does it's job. Controls are easy to use and pretty self-explanatory. The stainless steel tub is a definite upgrade from the plastic tub on my last dishwasher. Wouldn't buy it again though. If I could have a do-over I would get something else in a heartbeat. CONS: It is deceptively small for a 2 rack dishwasher. Forget using the adjustable rack if you use normal dishes. If you lower the top rack, you won't fit in your plates. The tines on both racks are very short. Stuff tries to move constantly. I don't know about anyone else's, but mine goes to completed too early. It's not finished draining when the machine thinks it's done with the dishes. This led to an unnecessary service call. You need to leave it sit up to an extra 20 minutes AFTER it indicates completed to assure it is drained. I've not noticed it having any indicator that it's completed other than the light. A chime would have been nice. I don't hang out in my kitchen watching it. It is not very quiet AT ALL. It's pretty loud actually. I don't know if that's caused by it not having enough insulation or because everything inside moves around while it runs. GET THE INSURANCE ON IT FROM SOMEWHERE. These things break sooner than you would expect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My last dishwasher had a small tray at the top, which I found useful of course this unit does not have that. Drying the dishes after washing does not work as I had hoped. The wash cycle is strong enough and works fine. The silverware tray is great, and easy to fill and empty. The door seems to be fingerprint resident. Easy to read and understand control panel. I am happy so far, lets see next year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so pleased with this purchase. My dishes come out spotless and it's very quiet. I do not, however, like the silverware rack. It has to sit in the middle of the bottom rack, which doesn't allow for bigger items like plates and plans. It's in a very awkward place.

I have had this dishwasher for 3 months and because of our kitchen cabinets and flooring it was really the only optional available. I am frustrated with this unit every single day. It is quiet and the outside looks good. However, the rack design in absolutely terrible and you can not fit a lot in the dishwasher so I am usually stuck waiting for 2 cycles to finish off a family load of dishes. I don't appreciate having to wash dishes if I purchased a dishwasher but I have tried to be creative and there is no fix for the poor design. If there were ANY other unit available to fit my kitchen I would have replaced this is a heartbeat and gladly taken a sledgehammer to this unit! Please do not buy this particular model unless you are single and don't cook. I have another whirlpool at another property and it rocks. I wanted that exact same one but could not fit it in.
