Nice toaster oven - only two small issues. No internal light and the ‘ding' is very low hard to hear when food is ready.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a nice size toaster oven so I would not have to use the oven all the time. It has been working out perfectly. I just have to remember that it seems to be hotter than the oven at the same temp, also a shorter cooking time. But I really like it, perfect size for my counter. I would recommend this for sure.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using consistently about 3 weeks, primarily cooking burgers, fish, chicken, pork chops for 1 or two people. There is a bit of a learning curve regarding temperature. I have used bake and broil and have found that everything is less dried out than if I put in large oven. I do use a pyrex baking dish rather than the drip tray and add some moisture in the dish. This is how I would prepare if I put in large oven as well. I have also used toast and warm settings and find that it does toast evenly. My goal was to not use the large oven unless necessary and it has been well accomplished. Don't need a toaster either! I really am happy with this purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a replacement for my full size oven that burned out and I could not be happier with my decision to buy the KitchenAid Countertop Oven. It preheats in no time, bakes faster and uses a scant amount of electricity compared to my old oven. Very simple to use!
I must say I am extremely disappointed that this version will not accommodate a chicken unless you cut it up so that it lays flat. We have a much older version of a similar model that stopped working after 4 yrs so we replaced it with this model , the interior capacity of that older model accommodated the height of a regular size chicken. The new version is longer so it fits a tad larger pan, but is not as tall so something like a chicken or a roast hits the upper heating elements even on the lowest rack setting. I am so disappointed this is not going to work as well for us as the non digital older model from years past.
