KitchenAid - 1.4 Cu. Ft. Built-In Microwave - Stainless steel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far we are happy with our new microwave. We have only been in our new home for 30 days so we hope we feel the same way months down the road after we have a chance to experience all of its features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All our appliances are all KitchenAid now and we love them all except for the microwave. Not having a numerical keypad is a pain. Our old microwave, not a KitchenAid, had the keypad and 1 thru 5 were instant. It was very convenient to hit a number and the microwave would automatically start, on high, for that period of time.

Cooking timer on a dial that goes in second increments. Need to figure out a more precise way for timer. Our Placement of the micro was a bit high so have to stand on tippy toes to retrieve items from the door which opens top down

Recently bought this microwave oven along with a single wall oven, to help with replacing an aging 24" double wall oven. Couldn't modify the cabinet space to use a 27" and 24" appliances aren't that easy to find anymore. This fit the bill. Looks great and works great. Stainless on the inside too. Has a cool down feature that lets the fan blow for a few minutes after a long cooking time. Gets all that moisture out. Has 1 button settings for reheat, defrost and cook. You have to learn those of course, but it's all written on the top inside of the door for you in case you forget :) So far, we are very satisfied with it.

This microwave is just perfect for us. We debated whether to get the pull door, or the drawer style microwave and are glad we bought the pull door. The drawer unit looked neat, but seemed like one more mechanical piece to go awry down the road. The oven heats well and evenly with the carousel plate. Controls are easy to use, and I love the timer that pushes in and out of the way when not in use. Looks great with all of our other Kitchenaid appliances.
