I LOVE this slow cooker. The most convenient (& favorite option for me) is the ability to brown/saute right in the pot, bc of the nonstick feature. This eliminates having to dirty an extra pan to brown meat first, which I almost always do if it's a chuck roast or stew meat. This beauty cleans up like a dream (I only hand wash & don't recall if the insert is DW safe, but why chance it?). It's easily programmable and has any function you need with a slow cooker. Bc of the nonstick surface you'll want to ensure you use only nylon (or other safe material) utensils so as not to scratch it. Lastly, it comes with a rack so you can elevate a piece of meat off the bottom or steam something like fish. This one's a winner and will last many years if you take some simple steps to care for it.
I purchased the multi cooker a month ago and have used it to cook several dinners so far. The unit is easy to use and holds its programmed cooking temperatures perfectly. The cooking pot is made of strong and resilient lightweight materials, it's easy to clean up as well.
I've used my new crockpot only twice. I love the browning feature. So far: the browning feature worked well and is awesome. Cons: the controls take a while to learn. The square shape is awkward, so is the drop in cooking unit, making it harder to put away I'm sure I will get used to these issues before long
I bought this slow cooker to replace our really old crockpot. Now, granted I've only use this slow cooker once, I can tell it's way better than our last one. I made a chili with sweet potatoes and I was very impressed with the consistency of the potatoes. They were perfectly cooked, not mushy or pulverized. The chili cooked for 8 hours and sat on keep ward for a few hours too. I was worried that the removable pot was too lightweight, but it seems perfect. Easy to clean also! I even browned the meat in the slow cooker before adding all the other ingredients. I recommend this product
Cuisinart comes through with the great appliance. I have had it for 3 weeks and have used it at least 2 - 3 times a week. Heats up in 5 - 7 minutes to 500 degrees to roast or brown. After slow cooking on low, you don't have to remove the juices to another pan on the stove to make the gravy. Just turn the setting to brown/saute and 350 degrees. It heats up in about a minute and you can make your gravy. It is a little pricey but worth every penny. Solidly built. Heavy stainless steel outside and heavy duty stainless steel handles so it is sturdy to take it when full to a pot luck, etc.
