This lock has been completely unreliable. We've been locked out of our home at night after taking a walk with no physical key. Sometimes it works really well and other times it won't unlock unless we go they Apple home, the app or using a physical key. Very disappointing as it's quite expensive.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Doesn't always unlock and gets confused with 2 devices. It randomly locks during the day when we turned that off in settings. Half the time to get it to lock by touch, I have to turn the knob, manually, to lock and unlock, close the door, then touch to lock. Hopefully in the next update, all these issues will be fixed. My wife wants to rip it off our door and get another lock but I have hope for it, just tired of her complaining every time we walk up to the door…
The touch feature is quite responsive to lock the door. But when unlocking the door, even after re-entering from more than 200+ meters, it sometimes takes more than 60 seconds wait time for Touch to Unlock the door even though I've set the duration for Touch to Unlock at 1 minute since entering the perimeter. Would want Level to support the Apple Home Key through the NFC to unlock ASAP.
The lock itself is beautiful. Installation was really great too. Unfortunately, the touch to unlock part is super unreliable. I'll regularly have to stand at the door for 30+ seconds touching and hoping for it to work. I ordered it with the OMNIA lever. It looks pretty but comes loose and requires retightening regularly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that the Level Lock Touch Edition looks like a regular lock and not big and bulky on my door. Being able to quickly lock my door when I leave with just a touch of my finger is great and I no longer have to keep my keys out. There were some issues with the touch to unlock but it appears the latest update has resolved this issue. The only thing I wish they would do is add support for Apple Home Key as well as Thread. This lock will be a 5 star lock once Level Lock - Touch Edition gets this.
