I have been using Waterpik WP-450 every night since a month ago. I just followed the instructions to use on the website. flossing with luke-warm water is very relaxing and much more convenient than thread floss.
Very noisy. Very bad design: water tank can only be filled halfway as the opening hole is located halfway of the tank and water pours out upon reaching the level of that hole. That opening flap should have been placed on top! Also, when charging, there is no light that indicates charging is ongoing or complete. . Awful awful, awful.
This flosser works pretty good. I replaced a sonicare air flosser but couldn't find extra heads so i switched and this thing works very well. My entire mouth feels so clean after using it. Sometimes during the day I will use the flosser even without using a tooth brush and my mouth feels as clean as if i had brushed. I recommend this product.
I've never used a Waterpik so this is a new experience. There is nowhere in my bathroom to hook up a Waterpik so I saw this & thought it might be helpful. It is. After using it a few times I like it and I feel it does irrigate the area around implants and under bridges and around crown work--of which I have a whole mouthful--and does a good job. Since I'm a new user it is taking me a while to get used to it. It runs out of water quickly because it's small, and it needs to be small as a cordless appliance. I believe when I have more practice the water will last a bit longer but I still expect to refill it once. I'm wondering how long it keeps a charge and that will affect my opinion of its usefulness too.
I have only had it and used it for a couple of days now. Even though I am not as excited as when my dentist first told me about it, and when I ordered it, I still like it and it serves its purpose. Meaning, if you are looking to free up counter space, and want to travel with it...yes! And because it's cordless, I will probably use it more than my other one - which my gums will love! The downside is, it's bulkier than the picture indicates, so I can understand some of the complaints from those with really small hands. But, its not that bulky, and if you adjust your grip to the upper portion you will be fine. Plus, I think its designed for you to hold it at the top. The reservoir holds about 8 ounces or "45 seconds" (which is what the box says); which may sound like a lot, but I found it to be only enough water to floss one quadrant of my mouth, and that's using the low setting. Of course its travel size, and can only hold so much - Just be prepared to refill it a few times. Because of the refills (and the splash), I will likely start using it in the shower, but not sure if that's recommended. You also have to hold it upright. That's not a big deal. But, if you are used to holding your standard waterpik at several different angles, you'll have to adjust to that too. All in all, I do like it, and am looking forward to healthier gums. Hope this helps!
