After7 years, our HP printer had earned its trip to recycling. This 7900 has all of the features of its predecessor and prints faster and scans even faster. It is essential for our home printing and scanning needs
It took well over an hour to set up with HP tech support. Tech support was very knowledgeable and aware of the issues with this model. ADF paper sensor intermittently shows the document loaded function. ADF is effectively useless. I will be returning.
It was very difficult to get this printer connected to my desktop but it finally worked. I wish they would have a printer that you could install using a USB cable and then unplugging it and keep using the printer. I couldn't find one. But hopefully it will stay connected and I can go from there. It prints well and the ink doesn't smear at all. Other than the connection issues, it seems to be a good buy.
Bought in haste after my older printer decided to have a bit of grump. Generally happy with the performance although after an easy fit on my older printer I now have two printers! Both on instant ink - will decide the direction of these later. New printer seems advance so no issues.
The ordering of the printer was easy and delivery was on scheduled date. Printer setup was easy with simple setup instructions provided. The printer is working well with my Wi-Fi and printed documents are clear and crisp. The flatbed scanner also works well with high quality images saved. Loading paper and ink cartridges is also simple and easy. The only issue I have is in using the document feeder to scan 4x6 photos. The page guides do not go all the way to where the roller grabs the photos. Works well for documents but not so easy for photos. I can manually place 10-15 photos over the roller and it will scan all of them. However, without the guides some photos are slanted slightly as they get scanned.
