So far so good! Looks great, seems very strong, easily rolls up. I only have two small complaints. First, when you buy the version for the Rambox they do not provide you with a large strip of rubber sealant as seen in the video. Rather they give you 4 small pieces in two different sizes. They are not labled as to which rubber piece goes towards the front of the truck and which goes to the back. I guessed and once I reached the end of my set up realized I guessed wrong. Now there is a small gap at the back of my truck where the rubber strip isn't quite long enough. The second complaint, which isn't so much a complaint as much as a request...perhaps making a better instructional video for Dodges with Rambox installation would be great!
Very snug fit. Bought for the fact that I like it rolled up for the most part. I use my truck like a truck and having a permanent cover is not my ideal truck use. However, when I need a cover, I have a cover. Not hard to install. Took a couple of hours but would be much faster had I knew what I was doing. Video was extremely helpful.
I had purchased a tonneau cover from another manufacture and although I liked the appearance, it wasn't very functional, when I needed to load bulkier items. I' m extremely satisfied with the one I purchased from Real Truck. The included instructions weren't very clear, but a video I found on "You Tube", answered all my questions. Loading large items into my truck bed is now a lot quicker and easier. After unloading the items, it's quick and easy to replace the cover.
this is a great cover. the installation was not bad at all. the tension "dials" are pretty ridiculous and you basically have to use pliers, and theyre plastic, which means youre totally going to scuff them up, which sucks, because the installation video shows the dude with really easy to turn knobs....so other than being way jealous of him and really hoping you don't have to return it since you messed that tiny piece all up in installation, totally worth every penny! the only other small gripe I have was the weather seal...the instructions don't tell you where to put the four tiny pieces and the video shows real long piece-not what you get. but I had some left over from another project so that was fine. the cover looks amazing. only a tiny drop of water in a downpour. best investment ever! I feel like it was more of a present for me than my fella. ah well. win -win. :) we have a trunk again!
As the first thing I've ever installed on any truck, I was concerned about ordering online and doing the work myself. The extra parts for the deck rail system (i.e. spacers) were intimidating at first, but if you take your time and follow the instructions carefully, you should be fine. As many have said, installing the side rails to be compatible with the stock rail system is the trickiest part. Other than that, the system basically puts itself together. I was stunned that I got everything right the first time. The cover rolled out perfectly and looked sharp. The entire installation process took me less than 2 hours doing it myself. I drove through some very heavy rain and other than a few trickles, the cover kept the bed dry. It also improved my gas mileage (over 24 mpg on my 2011 4 cyl 4x4, all highway). The key factors after installation are to make sure that the tension adjusters are set evenly and to roll the cover up as tight as you can if you want to be able to clip it. I'm very glad I spent a little extra on the LiteRider instead of the tri-fold covers. I'm very impressed with this cover and will definitely purchase one for any truck I own in the future. I highly recommend this cover to anyone who wants a quality, sharp looking cover that's tight as a drum and isn't too hard to install.
