I bought this during the Brio black friday sale. I only bought it because of the sale and because our old primo water cooler had a broken probe. I didn't even want to replace our old cooler because it still kept water very cold and very hot respectively. I worried that a new one wouldn't work as well. I waited until we had it running for a week before writing this review. The only thing that I found to be critical about is the sound. This cooler is loud when it is cooling. The water temperatures for hot and cold are good. My favorite things about it is that it dipenses water very fast and the recessed area that you dispense water from is large so you can put a large water bottle under it without having to tilt the bottle. If it was a bit quieter, it would be absolutely perfect.
Love our Brio. Everyone stays hydrated and loves having ice cold water with a push of a button.
I bought this model to replaced a broken Primo cooler. This unit is much bigger and I am shocked by how loud it is!! It's louder than any of my other kitchen appliances (fridge, dishwasher) and I can hear it while I'm watching TV in the next room. It runs often so it's not a noise that occasionally occurs. Water temperatures work as expected but I'm debating returning it because of the noise.
This top load water cooler works very well for us. The two taps that my wife and I use regularly--the hot water and cold water taps--both deliver as advertised. We especially like the hot water safety feature. However, as others have reported, the room temperature tap falls short--usually about 10-12 degrees too cool. Also the condensers need more noise insulation. Not a concern for us because the cooler is in our laundry room. But if it were located, instead, out near our kitchen table, it would be--for us--a distraction. If you need a very quiet cooler, I would look elsewhere and incur the extra cost.
The biggest issue is that the water just doesn't get as cold as other machines I've tried.
