Cheapest gate for the distance on the market. The instructions were not written to be understood by the average person, but it is a gate, you don't need a Phd to set it up. So far, no issues with reliability. The latch is not the easiest to work with one hand, but hey, it was cheap.

I bought this gate to use at meal time to seperate my dogs. I have a large opening that seperates by dining room from the kitchen. It works well for that. It is easy to unhook and walk through if I need to go into the other room while they are eating. My dogs are Bassets and a Collie. No one tries to jump over it. It seems good and sturdy. I'm happy with it and it has really worked well for me.

I bought this to give my dogs a bigger space to stay while I'm gone, and it was the only one long enough to span the 8 and a half foot opening between the dining room and living room. So far I am having mixed feelings about it. It took 2 hours to set up. DO NOT try to do it alone, it's heavy, extremely wobbly, and I somehow managed to cut my hands up while doing it. You really need someone to hold it steady for you while you do the drilling and screwing. The wobbling problem busted the screws out of the wall, and I had to use my glue gun to fix the "nowhere to put the screw in this new giant hole" issue. I didn't even know it needed hardware stuff because I searched the description before buying it and didn't see anything saying that. I had to use a drill, screwdriver, hammer, measuring tape, my cat's tree for support, and the holder things on the opening end had to be screwed in manually, because they have a loop at the end making it impossible to use the electric screwdriver, so I had to put a super long nail through the loop and use those edges to twist it in. It's got a metal thing in the middle that holds it a little more steady once put up, but it holds the gate several inches above the ground so the smaller of my two dogs can craw right under it. If I can get him to stay in there the gate will most likely serve it's purpose. It opens and closes somewhat easily. Its not super well made, but what do you expect for the price. I like that it's got a nice lattice look to it, it is decorative, not very blatantly gate like.

I used this to block my kitchen from the living area, it is big enough and what I like tho most about it is that, when not in use I can easliy make it smaller and it swings like a door so its not in the way. The price is well worth it instead of paying double for the plastic ones.

I am very happy with this gate. It was easy to install in a doorway with wood on both sides. The instructions were not very easy to follow though! It is pretty sturdy and the price was good for the size of gate. The latch that opens and closes the gate is a little difficult to use, but with training my almost 5 year old is able to use it. You do have to be careful that babies fingers are out of the way before opening the gate so they don't get pinched. I like that it slides all the way open so it is (pretty much) out of the way when it isn't being used. I do wish that they had made it so that the gate could easily be removed completely from the wall though. When opened the gate is about 2' wide and will swing in either direction. Not the most attractive gate, but I did purchase it for safety and price, not asthetics.
